I received my Diploma in New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy (Dip.NZNFE ) in 2009 and since then have been on a wonderful journey with these essences. I was raised with a deep love for nature, and from a very young age I dreamed of working with the powers of nature to hold the space for deep, transformative healing. When I was called to work with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® in 2011, I realised that this dream was still possible in this day and age - and more profoundly so than I had ever imagined.

In my late teens I lived in Toulouse, France and practised Aikido throughout my time there. This martial art is about reuniting one with the harmony of the universe. This opened the world of energy to me in a practical sense. I was introduced to the healing art of Seitai, including Yuki, through this practice. I continue my journey with Kokodo Jujutsu, which shares a foundation with Aikido.

First Light® Flower Essences have brought me full circle - an invitation to work with the ancient wisdom of this land of my birth, Aotearoa.

I enjoy working with people of all ages especially children and elders. I also work with animals and I offer alternative solutions to plant health.

I began studying and working with First Light® essences in 2012, when I found this form of medicine to be the most deeply transformational healing modality I had ever experienced. I have been working with clients in the Integrated Health field for over 20 years, in holistic clinics, health services and in establishing practices in Scotland and Australia. Co-creating with sacred plant medicine is an integral part of my practice and a means to assist people in creatively regaining and sustaining balance, equilibrium, and journeying towards their true potential. It is an inspiration to work creatively with clients as they deepen connection with Nature; discovering their own native plant allies, integrating lost parts of themselves and moving into greater empowerment. Clients have expressed that they feel supported by the essences, having clearer insight into their lives and more confidence in their ability to stay in heart.

Astrology is also a key part of how I work with clients as we look together, logically and intuitively, how to best connect you with your sacred plant allies.

What I can offer that is unique, is to also bring in a depth of training from having studied academically and spiritually in; Art Therapy, Clinical Aromatherapy, Sound Therapy, Usui Reiki and in Astrological studies in Edinburgh. I have worked in clinics and hospitals in Scotland, specialising in areas of Medical Art Therapy with children and adults dealing with trauma and attachment issues. I have experience working with animals and am also very interested in animal communication and wellbeing.

Minako started her practice as an aromatherapist and an aromatherapy teacher in Tokyo in 1995. She has acquired conciderable knowledge and experience in her respective fields. She has been providing aromoatherapy to patients in the department of psychiatry in a hospital in Tokyo for over twelve years. Through her activity in the field of psychiatry, she started using astrology to acquire deeper insight into the client’s inherent psychological archetype.She started providing astrological aromatherapy consultations in 2006 and trained many astrological aromatherapists in Kauri Holistic Healing.
In 2008, she was connected with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® and found her passion. She became the first Japanese practitioner and tutor in Japan.
