Clearing 7 Types of Trauma During These Challenging Times

Clearing 7 Types of Trauma During These Challenging Times

A growing number of mental health professionals are calling the pandemic a collective trauma.

A mass or collective trauma takes place when the same event or chain of events traumatises many people within the same period of time.  In many ways, COVID-19 and events associated with it have presented some of the biggest challenges to our collective holistic wellbeing that we have seen in many years.

Many people have already experienced, or are currently experiencing some form of trauma at some level of their being. It may be the loss of a job, the inability to be with family, or feeling a sense of existential crisis around the ever changing local and global events.

The 7 fundamental types of trauma

There are 7 fundamental types of trauma  that many people in our community may currently be experiencing.

They are:

  • Physical/survival trauma – losing a job, becoming ill, experiencing financial hardship or unpredictable changes at home, work or school.
  • Emotional/sexual trauma – feeling separated from loved ones, not being able to spend time with family or friends
  • Disempowerment trauma - feeling out of control of life or situations, having to obey strict rules, not being heard or understood or being exposed to bullying at home, work or school.
  • Heartfelt trauma – experiencing a relationship breakup, the loss of a loved one, feeling isolated, a loss of trust or being deemed unacceptable by others.
  • Humiliation trauma – feeling separated from community, not fitting in or having a sense of belonging, an inability to speak up due to fear of being judged, suppressed creative urges and self-expression, feeling disrespected
  • Reality trauma – feeing life is in constant turmoil, feeling ignored or invalidated, having the realisation that life is not going back to how it was
  • Spiritual trauma – so many people are realising that they have lost the meaning in their lives and their connection to their sense of purpose

Unresolved trauma is held in the aura, influencing our thoughts and emotions

As individuals, when we experience a traumatic experience we can feel shocked, helpless, confused or lost. We can have real difficulty processing the experience and managing our emotions.

If left unresolved, trauma can have serious ongoing repercussions in our lives. This is because a sudden severe shock or fright associated with trauma can have a serious impact on a person’s energy field, the aura. Trauma can also create epigenetic changes that can be passed onto future generations.

The aura is a multi-layered energetic structure or energy field that surrounds us. It perfectly reflects our state of being on a physical, etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Equally the state or condition of our aura will directly and indirectly influence our thoughts and emotions. It holds within it the influences of everything we have ever experienced.

Consequently, any unresolved traumas of any type or degree will continue to exist, as they are held within our aura unless we actively do something to remove them.

The aura is an electromagnetic field or matrix. It will attract to it that which it contains. This is the reason that we can find ourselves in situations that seem very repetitive or familiar and wonder ‘why does this keep happening to me?’. Despite our best efforts to resolve these repetitive situations in our lives, they cannot change until the pattern in our electromagnetic field is changed.

We can clear trauma without having to relive it

No matter what type of trauma we may be experiencing, it is possible to quickly, effectively and efficiently clear its negative energetic imprints from our energy field without having to relive the traumatic experience.

By keeping our personal energy field free from trauma, we are also able to ‘see’ things more clearly, have a better perspective and so make better decisions and be there for others in a much deeper and more empowering way.
