The Power of Love Christmas Cake
Make Every Day Special with Sacred Plant Medicine
Christmas cake recipes are one of those special things that often get handed down from generation to generation, sometimes containing special ingredients or tricks that are a closely guarded family secret. This particular Christmas cake recipe has been a family favourite for three generations and with the addition of specially selected First Light® flower essences it is made to bring the power of love to your Christmas table.
250g brown sugar
1kg of mixed fruit including currants, raisins, sultanas, glace cherries, crystallised ginger and mixed peel
1 tsp mixed spice
1 tsp almond essence
1 tsp baking powder
300ml ginger ale
4 drops each of First Light® flower essences:
No 19 Lovers Daisy – Love – expressing your true self in a relationship
No 59 Star Lily – Unconditional Love – developing a universal loving awareness of others
No 81 Tanekaha – Joy – having a sunny disposition and being a ray of sunshine to others
Put fruit into a bowl and cover with ginger ale. Cover and leave overnight.
Cream butter, brown sugar and essences then beat in eggs one at a time. Add the dry ingredients and lastly the fruit. Mix well.
Bake in a well lined cake tin for 3 hours at 125°C
