New Zealand Health Industry Distinguished Services Research and Development Award for ‘pioneering, developing and establishing New Zealand native flower and plant essences for holistic healing.’
Head Tutor First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®
A New Zealander of Russian and Native American descent, as a teenager Franchelle became aware of her close relationship with nature and developed the ability to identify the native plants that could transform negative emotions and attitudes to help people release old patterns and create profound changes in their lives.
“I learnt that with the use of the correctly selected
native plants a person could clear their energetic field from
past traumas and unhealthy patterns and return to
a natural state of wellbeing.” - Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber
Internationally recognised as a spiritual teacher and modern day medicine woman, Franchelle has appeared on a number of local and international TV programmes, documentary films and radio shows as an expert on sacred plant medicine, shamanism, spirituality and natural healing.
Over many years of working with plants from all over the world Franchelle discovered that New Zealand native plants had qualities that were unique and could not be found anywhere else on the planet.
By 1985 she was pioneering the development of the world’s first integrated range of New Zealand native flower essences that included flower, fern, tree, seed and plant essences as well as specialist essences for healers, shamans and lightworkers around the globe.
Among Maori elders, Franchelle is known as a matakite, one who sees with the healing eye, a matatuhi, one who can read what is written in the wind, and a tohuna, keeper of the ancient secrets, a tohuna tipua. She has been fully initiated into the Kura Huna, the Mystery school of the Maori, also known as the mystery school of the uppermost heaven or the 12th plane.
History of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®
At the dawn of the new millennium in July 1999 when the ancient people traditionally celebrated the New Year, a call was sent out by the two co-founders of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber and Anthony Wyber at a special ceremony conducted to officially welcome the Aquarian Age, 'The Age of Cherishing Waters'.
The call asked the Atua, the gods and goddesses, the nature power of Aotearoa, New Zealand to provide the people of the world, the world community, with the healing necessary for the unprecedented holistic and spiritual challenges and difficulties to be faced by them and the planet in the 21st century.
In the ancient shamanic tradition of call and response, the call must be sent out and the answer must be clearly received. As the first light of a new millennium appeared on the eastern horizon, the powerful spiritual forces of Aotearoa answered this call and First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® came into being. With the help of the ancient Earth guardians and in total cooperation with nature, the range of 184 First Light® flower and plant essences were created from the ancient pristine native forests of New Zealand. First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® are a sacred taonga, treasure and a pure living embodiment of the sacred plant medicine of New Zealand.
There are 184 essences in the First Light® flower essences range representing the most complete range of flower essences in the world. They are used on every continent around the world. The first light that shines on the ancient forests of Aotearoa is now shining in every corner of the Earth and this light grows brighter every day.
