Winter Season has Arrived

Kia ora First Light whanau!

Winter is our transition into that part of the cycle when nature slows down and everything contracts to a restful state. It can often herald a time of colds and flus, runny noses and sore throats for many people...though this needn’t be the case.

Essence No 108 Tarata is one of our allies here, helping us to re-write our story, the Hero emerging victorious from life’s challenges; No 108 Tarata suffuses our energy field with cleansing and purifying energies, and works as a spiritual antiviral, antiseptic, and antibacterial. I find No 108 Tarata useful with clients who have a tendency to “catch everything that’s going around” and find they are constantly unwell.

I also find it helpful using the corresponding tree essence to clear and strengthen any imbalances to the chakra of an affected area that contributes to a physical manifestation of symptoms: a chesty cough that lingers for weeks may be helped by taking essence No 47 Kauri: to clear, strengthen and balance the heart chakra- seat of our soul. No 47 Kauri exerts a positive healing influence on the lungs and thymus gland- a vital component of our immune system- and supports balanced expression through the heart chakra promoting self love and acceptance. No 47 Kauri helps us know when to give and receive, knowing when we’ve over extended ourselves, need to pull back, and take rest.

Physical measures to support the immune system such as eating with the seasons, taking immune- boosting herbs or nutrients, and getting adequate rest help make the transition into winter easier for the physical body.
