Stepping onto the Holistic Practitioner Path - Part Two

In part one of this article, I touched on the different ways a person may be called to walk the path of The Healer, becoming a ‘practitioner with an edge’ and the benefits of training with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® to address the complex nature of dis-ease and disharmony that many people are experiencing with their health in the 21st century.

After you’ve gone through the motions of studying and fulfilling the necessary criteria to become qualified in the healing modalities you feel drawn to work with, you may then find yourself asking the question: “So, where to from here?” The end of your formal training ushers in the beginning of the next stage – the part where you prepare to take your healing gifts out into the world.

First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® training courses offer students the opportunity to become registered practitioners after gaining their Certificate and Diploma in New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy. By becoming a registered practitioner, you are given the opportunity to promote yourself through the First Light website and use the words First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® Registered Practitioner after your name if you wish to do so.

This helps you get your name ‘out there’, gives you credibility as a New Zealand native flower essence practitioner and provides an avenue for connecting and networking with other practitioners working in a variety of different fields. Making the right connections and establishing a strong network with other practitioners can help you to grow your practice and set up referral systems with others who may wish to refer clients to you and vice versa.

Another way to let people know you are available and what services you offer is to give free talks and short presentations that give people a taste of what you do. First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® provide succinct, accessible and easy to understand presentation materials for practitioners to use when presenting or speaking about the First Light flower essences and their many benefits and uses.

Having the staying power, determination and drive to keep at it and to persevere in your work as a healer/health practitioner is the key. The reality of what is required as a practitioner/healer in running a successful and financially viable practice (if applicable) and making your presence known requires effort on your part. Having a strong vision or concept of what you want to create isn’t enough – it is up to you to make your dreams, goals and visions a reality, to draw them down from the ethers and make them manifest in the physical realm of form.

Of course, you have the First Light flower essences to assist you with this process. You can work with the following essences to support yourself in the process of establishing your role as a practitioner/healer as you carve out and lay down the foundations for the path of your true calling:

  • Flowers of Transformation essence No 24 Poroporo – The Willpower Essence helps you to have staying power, to use your willpower in a positive way to get done what needs doing, and stick at it even when you feel like giving up. No 24 Poroporo reminds you that everything is possible and helps to dispel momentary feelings of powerlessness. With No 24 Poroporo as your ally, you can see the magic in everyday life and expect extraordinary results. Use when feeling stagnant, inhibited or stuck and to become the conscious creator of your own destiny.
  • Flowers of Transformation essence No 25 Kowhai – The Growth Essence brings the gift of adventure as you set out on the next stage of the journey, opening you up to opportunities for growth and expansion. With No 25 Kowhai as your ally, you can move beyond past limiting patterns and fearlessly move into unknown territory with a sense of readiness and engagement. No 25 Kowhai offers the potential of believing in yourself, to seek out and pursue your true calling and path in life. Use No 25 Kowhai when an attitude of ‘there’s no point’ or ‘what’s the use’ prevails in the face of challenges and setbacks, and to regain a sense of adventure when life is taking a new course.
  • Tree essence No 44 Kahikatea – The Structure Essence balances the base chakra and can be very useful to help establish and put into place the physical structures required at a practical level to make visions or dreams a reality. No 44 Kahikatea helps you to feel focused and capable in meeting life’s challenges and to ground your energy for improved vitality and physical wellbeing as it supports the health of the adrenal glands. No 44 Kahikatea assists in establishing supportive foundations and structures that are essential in helping you to manifest your life goals.
  • Plant essence No 63 Karamu – The Manifestation Essence supports you at a soul level to manifest into your life what is needed to express yourself and to be all that you can be. No 63 Karamu helps focus attention to bring about your objectives and discover and use your own unique gifts and skills. Use No 63 Karamu when there is the seed of an idea or plan and you need to know how to make it an actuality. No 63 Karamu can also help to dispel feelings that you can’t cope, don’t have adequate skills, or when feeling scattered and overwhelmed.
