Our Many ‘Thneeds’
Lately I have been observing the daily choices my children are faced with. They are living in an age of time in this world which is constantly presenting them with more and more opportunities and with many ‘thneeds’ as the Lorax in Dr Seuss would term them (things that everyone needs).
The challenge they are presented with is to be able to discriminate and make decisions between what is useful, purposeful and advantageous and what limits, congests and stifles their pathway forward. Overexposure to high levels of junk food, computer games, TV, recreational music and advertising are just a few examples of what they must navigate.
Making wise decisions can be supported and enhanced with the addition of First Light® flower essence No 73 Coastal Lobelia. Assisting the soul, Coastal Lobelia will help the child arrive at their own truth in the matter and not be swayed by the thoughts or opinions of others. Coastal Lobelia is also supportive when coming to terms with understanding and complying with what might appear to be an unfair decision. No 68 Puriri can assist children to learn the arts of discrimination and discernment helping them to recognise what has true value and worth and not just going along with what others want them to believe. This is a good essence to meet the challenges of peer pressure. At the personality level No 18 Purple Koromiko can support the child to exercise discrimination in the areas of life pertaining to choice of diet, food, friends etc.
